Lily Organics Review

Lily Organics is a lovely natural skin care products company! They carry cleansers, moisturizers, toners, and more for all skin types! From Lily Organic's Website:

"Lily Organics Farm Fresh

Organic Skin Care

  • Are you tired of organic skin care products that just don’t work?
  • Do you feel like you have you tried every organic skin care product, without the results you want?
  • Are you confused with all the choices and hype with organic and natural skin care?
  • Are you sick of the toxic synthetic chemicals companies put in your skin care products?
  • Are you concerned about the long-term, negative heath effects of synthetic chemicals?
  • Are you done spending a fortune on broken promises?
  • Do you struggle to figure out which ingredients in your product will diminish fine lines, give your skin a radiant glow or help blemishes?
  • Are you tired of the searching?
I know your struggle. That is why I started Lily Organics, over 25 years ago. The truth is; synthetic chemicals do not work to improve your skin. USDA certified organic plants do! They have had over 10,000 years of use with documented success! Lily Organics provides results for our customers, and we do it with our ingredients. We believe ingredients are everythingtm in a skin care product, and we go further than any other company in the world to get you the best."

I received a Organic Moisture mist from them to review!

From Lily Organic website about their Organic Moisture mist:
"Everyone enjoys the sweet floral scent of Essential Oils in our
beloved organic moisture mist. Our Purely Botanical Mist keeps the
skin hydrated, supple and balanced all day long. It contains Vegetable
Glycerin which draws moisture from the air to the skin and seaweed
to retain the moisture. Lavender refreshes and stimulates, Ylang Ylang
uplifts the spirits while Calendula and Chamomile heal. The herbs in
this formula are cell rejuvenative and anti-inflammatory. It can be
kept in the refrigerator for extra cooling during warm seasons."

I found this mist to be quite refreshing and rejuvenating! Just a few sprays in the morning and I felt fresh all day! If at some point I needed a little pick me up I would spray my face with it again just to feel refreshed. I even sprayed some on my 16 month old daughter, who thought it was the greatest thing ever! ;-) I never feel quite satisfied with most facial moisturizers out there because they leave my face feeling oily and sticky. But this moisturizer left my face feeling clean and fresh. It also kept it from feeling dry.

Buy it: Visit Lily Organics to purchase your own and to see what other great products they have to offer! ;-)

Mountain Rose Herbs Review

Mountain Rose Herbs is an amazing herb company that carries all sorts of fantastic products from organic bulk herbs and spices, organic teas, organic oils, and organic bath and body products! :-)

From Mountain Rose Herbs website:

"The Products
Organic Herbal Products All of the products processed and offered by Mountain Rose Herbs are handled, analyzed and supervised by a full time quality control department. Every aspect of all our products, from the procurement, and the receiving, to the processing and packaging, is done in accordance to strict quality control and organic handling procedures. The products we offer you are guaranteed fresh, fragrant and colorful, and unlike traditional suppliers of herbal products who keep their merchandise stored in warehouses for several years, Mountain Rose Herbs will never sell or stock products that are more than a few months from harvest (except for seasonal items). This in itself guarantees you a fresh, and effective botanical preparation. Since 1987 Mountain Rose Herbs has placed a priority on our general health and well-being, and in this time we have completely removed all conventionally grown materials from our product line entirely."

This review was done by my dear sweet sister Trin:
"The Relaxing Herbal Bath Soak from Mountain Rose is simply amazing! I work many long hours as a caregiver and my back and legs are often quite sore afterwards. A warm bath at the end of the day with a scoop of this soak has proven to be the perfect relaxation method for me!
Unlike most bath soaks, salts and oils, Mountain rose doesn't use toxic perfumes in their products. The bath soak is scented only with pure botanical extracts. Once poured  into your steaming tub of water it immediately fills your entire bathroom with its relaxing, therapeutic scent.
Mountain Rose Bath Soak is also very nourishing to the skin because of the Olive and Vitamin E oils added. I always step out of the bathtub feeling relaxed and refreshed. The dry scaliness on my knees has gone away by using this soak regularly and I love the way it leaves such a nice glow to the skin!
I will definitely be buying more of this wonderful soak! It also makes a great gift for people in your life who you know could use a little relaxation! ;-)"

Buy it: Visit Mountain Rose Herbs to buy it or to see what other great products they have!

Natural House Review

"Natural House probiotic cleaning products brings you a revolutionary, new method of cleaning the most dirty areas of your home. Utilizing non-toxic, probiotic cleaning agents, Natural House products are strong enough for commercial clean-up, yet safe and gentile for all of the members of your Natural House."

My overall opinion of Natural House products:
I found these products very interesting indeed. They didn't work quite as good as I had anticipated, but still did a pretty good job.

From Natural House Website:

"Flushy Probiotic Cleaning packet is a powerful toilet bowl cleaner + Drain and Septic
Treatment in one. Our professional strength formula cuts through stains, hard water and
calcium deposits in the bowl. Our probiotics continue to consume toilet paper and waste
build up in the p-trap, drain and pipes, and maintains the health of your septic system."

My opinion of Flushy:
I LOVED watching this one dissolve in the toilet bowl! :-) But other then that, I wouldn't say it did all that great at removing the gunk. Though probably if you clean your toilet everyday and then just add this once a week as a drain cleaner it would work fantastic!

From Natural House Website:

"Sinky Probiotic Cleaning packet breaks down grease and food scraps to
help prevent clogs and slow drains. Used weekly, Sinky will scour your drain and
disposal driving out odors at their source."

My Opinion of Sinky:
This one was fun to watch as well! :-) I'm sure kids would get a kick out of these products! :-) Sinky made my sink smell fresher. Cleaning out all nasties in the garbage disposable. I wondered how this would do for de clogging a tub so I tried it in our very clogged bath tub. I did notice that it worked fairly well for a time! But I think our tub needs something more.

From Natural House Website:

"Trashy Probiotic Cleaning removes odors at their source. Use trashy in your
indoor or outdoor trash cans to dissolve odors, grease, and food scraps."

My Opinion of Trashy:
This was my favorite of the three! I hate cleaning out my trash can, and this product made it so simple to just spray and let it clean it's self! :-) Not to mention it gave the trash can a wonderful fresh smell! :-)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Homemade Yogurt

Homemade yogurt is amazing! This recipe was so easy to make, not to mention cheaper then buying yogurt from the store! ;-)

Homemade Yogurt:

~First your going to heat 1/2 Gal. Whole Milk to 200 degrees F. Stirring gently so that it doesn't boil over or scorch.

~Then your going to remove the milk from the heat and let it cool down to 112-115 degrees F.

~Pour 1 Cup of the now cooled milk into a small bowl with 1/2 cup pre-made yogurt. Whisk till smooth. Then pour back into the pot with the rest of the milk and stir together.

Note: Organic yogurt is best to use because it has more enzymes in it. Also make sure to choose a yogurt with low or no sugar content. After you've made your own yogurt you can just use 1/2 cup of your own! ;-)

~Heat the oven to 115 degrees F. (mostly just make sure your oven is warm), then turn it off.
The trick to making yogurt is keeping the milk at 110 degrees F.

~Wrap the pan up in towels to keep it warmer longer. Place the yogurt into the warm oven for 4-6 hours.

-I turned my oven on to warm it back up again about half way through.
-Careful not to jostle the pan around to much because otherwise it won't set right.
-If you like thinner yogurt you might want to check it/taste it ever so often so it doesn't get to thick for you.
-Remember it will thicken a little bit more when it cools

~After it gets to be about the consistency that you want it to be put it into the fridge to cool down completely... Don't stir it yet.

~Once cooled you can then add whatever you want to it:
-maple syrup

Let me know your experience making yogurt! :-)
